The sandy curse

It has been a quiet evening in the desert so far, hanging around, and just talking with some guildies as usual. Then u get an urge to explore the desert some more. I come across a pair of huts so I walk inside to see who inhabits them. I find a man in the one hut who exchanges with me a terrible storey about his tribe being cursed!!! Being the good natured guy that I am I promptly offered to help in anyway that I can. So he tells me that I am to kill the cursed WarLich Hemnosh but in order to summon him I must put the Hemnosh amulet back together. Each piece is held by different cursed member, three pieces in all.

I stay around a while talking with him when he looks over my shoulder and notices that the sun is going down. He points and says "Leave this place at once before the curse takes hold of us!!!" unhesitatingly I listen and head off to find the amulet pieces. Looking back I watch in horror as Chieftain Larn succumbs to the curse. He twists and turns as he morphs into his cursed undead form. I shudder and vow that his tribe shall be avenged!!!

I manage to hunt down the pieces ok and head towards the alter where I'm supposed to summon the Lich. As I place the final piece on the altar they all start to glow green then form into a single amulet. I reach my hand for the amulet but before I touch it I hear a voice behind me. "Fool!!! you just summoned your DEATH!!!" he screams as I am turning around. Its Hemnosh!!!

He starts muttering some words under his breath. I know too well that he is casting a summoning spell. I can't get to him in time to strike him down before he finishes his chant. I quickly find myself surrounded and outnumbered.

At this point all my efforts seem to be lost and my adventure at an end. I fought with all my might and was able to take down every last one of his minions. Only he stands in the way of lifting the curse. I summon my remaining strength into one final attack. And just like that the deed is done, the curse is lifted.

I feel a Calm come over me as I realize my accomplishments. I looked down at Hemnosh and took his hand in which I need to prove that he is dead. The hand smelled of rotting flesh and I had a hard time taking it back to Larn. When I Finlay got back to the hut I was starting to smell worse than all those corpses I had fought. It seemed as tho Hemnosh was still fighting. At least all we need to solve that problem is an air freshiner. Chieftan Larn was more than grateful to see the hand and gave to me in return for it the ring off of Hemnosh's hand. I hid my disgust and gratefully accepted his gratitude and the ring as a reward.

Unsatisfied but exhausted after the journey I return home to get some well earned rest.
